Updates on the lawsuit against Randy Orton
Katherine Alexander, the Illinois designer, filed a lawsuit a few months ago against WWE and 2K Games on the use of Randy Orton to promote the WWE 2K video game series. Alexander, who has done a tattoo for Orton since 2003, claims to have copyright to the designs.
WWE and 2K have been accused of copyright infringement because Orton's photos are shown on the games. Alexander claimed she filed the case on the WWE in 2009 and offered only $ 450 for design rights, but rejected it. In an update of the case according to a foreign site, WWE and 2K attempted to sue the US District Court in Illinois on August 7.
Since then, Alexander has submitted her response saying she is aiming for an alleged violation of her tattoo work directly in Illinois and that WWE had previously offered her $ 450 for rights. The report also states that she has included six copyright notices related to Orton Orton from March 15, General.
The court ruled that all discoveries of this case must be completed by 7 January 2019 and that the settlement conference be set for April 16, 2019. The lawsuit was originally filed on 17 April.
